Charles Benjamin Curtice, Jr., 63, of Port Arthur, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016. Charles was born February 17, 1953 in Port Arthur, TX to JoAnn Curtice and the late Charles B. Curtice, Sr. He is retired from Pipefitter Local-195. He loved riding horses, hunting, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his mother; wife, Libby Gleason; daughters, JoAnn Harmon and husband, Paul, Amy Engle and husband, Jason, Susie Pelzel and husband, Zane; brother, Clinton B. Curtice and wife, Sherry; sisters, Charlotte Fontenot and husband, David, Sadie Sterling and husband, Arlin, Andrea Tucker and husband, Kenny, Darla Gleason and husband, Michael; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father; brothers, Clayton L. Curtice, Frank Hall and sister, GayNell Curtice.
There will be a gathering of family and friends Monday, October 10, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, TX. The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, TX. The interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, TX.
