November 5, 1930 — October 28, 2015

Darrell C. Landry, 84, of Port Neches, passed away October 28, 2015, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 5, 1930 in Port Arthur to the late Philip Landry and Rose Comeaux.
Darrell began his work career as a laborer at Texaco’s Port Arthur Plant, in 1951. Through hard work, education and determination he worked his way up to manager of Employee Relations at multiple sites in Oklahoma and Texas, including several assignments at the Port Arthur Plant.
He participated in many charitable groups including the Port Arthur Evening Sertoma Group, Jefferson County Mediation, St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, to mention a few. Also, he was active in ToastMasters, Dale Carnege and a proud member of Alpha Pi Mu Engineering Honor Society. Having been fortunate enough to retire at age 58, he and Patsy, his beloved wife of 63 years, traveled the world. They attended every event their grandchildren participated in. He loved traveling to his grandson’s golf tournaments and equally, he proudly attended dance recitals and athletic events of his granddaughters.
Darrell enjoyed sharing his faith and beliefs with others. He spent countless hours preparing for his lecture readings at Mass and also taught religious education classes, including his grandson’s CCD classes for 10 years. His life exemplified faith, family, love and loyalty. He lived a Christian life, always practicing the importance of family, faith and always putting others first.
