Donald Keith Jensenius May 19, 1929 February 15, 2013 Those we love dont go away They walk beside us everyday Unseen, unheard, but always near Still loved and missed and very dear.Donald Keith Jensenius, 83, of Nederland passed away February 15 in Tyler County. He was born in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. He was a marine engineer and retired from Texaco and the Marine Engineer Beneficial Association. Don was a brilliant man and a member of American MENSA Society LTD. He was especially proud of his Norwegian heritage where he spent some of his youth. He has lived in Nederland since 1961. Don enjoyed going to his lake house at Ivanhoe, an A frame which he designed and built with his wife and sons. He designed and built motorized Christmas decorations that he displayed to the delight of his children and grandchildren it was an often complimented favorite in our community. He also designed and built awardwinning parade floats for many years. Don was preceded in death by his parents Olaf Normann and Alice Farr Jensenius of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, brother Bob Jensenius of Detroit, Michigan, and beloved son Billy Rush of Nederland. He is survived by his wife Juanita Nita Johnson Jensenius of Nederland his children Tony DeMonte of Nederland, Christy DeMonte Edlin of Austin, Bobby Rush of Nederland, Donna Jensenius Moore of Nederland, Alisa Jensenius of Kemah. Grandchildren, Sunni Moore Price and Richard Price of Nederland, Rob Rush of Los Angeles, Chelsea Rush of Austin, Zech Rush of Nederland, Taylor Rush of Austin and Layla Rush of Nederland. Brother Ray Jensenius and his wife Pat of Orlando. A private family gathering was held on Sunday, February 17. Don was cremated and a celebration of life to honor him will be held at a later date.
