Henry F. Fredeman, 72, of Groves passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont.Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland with Rev. Russell Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home.Henry was born May 10, 1940 to the late William F. Fredeman, Sr. and Sydalise Thompson in Houston, and lived all of his life in the Port Arthur and Groves area. Henry was the owner and operator of Baton Rouge Harbor Service and the former coowner of Port Arthur Towing and Chanel Fueling Company, a family business started by the late William F. Fredeman, Sr. Henry was also on the Port Commission in Port Arthur, Rotary Club, Board of Directors of Allied Bank, and an Active member of the Salvation Army. Henry served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp and was a member of United Methodist Temple in Port Arthur. Henry was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and the University of Texas where he attained a Law Degree.Henry is survived by his wife, Dottie Fredeman of Groves daughter, Julia Collins and her husband Troy of Lumberton his grandson Denton also of Lumberton his sister, Mary Carmen Crain and her husband Stanley of New Jersey his brother, Bill Fredeman and his wife Karen of Groves, and a host of nieces and nephews.
