Jessie Lewis Turner, Jr.

Jessie Lewis Turner, Jr., 88, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born on January 23, 1927 in Beaumont to the late Jessie L. Turner, Sr. and Ruey Halfin. He worked for Texaco as a welder and also served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Jessie is survived by his daughter, Deborah Loyd and her husband, Talbert of Conroe; grandchildren, Shannon Bearman and her husband, Scott and Tab Loyd and his wife, Beverly; 6 step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Taylor Loyd, Caitlyn Loyd, and Abbie Loyd; 4 step-great-grandchildren; step-children, Dr. Wilton A. Guillory, Jr. and his wife, Connie, Paul Guillory and his wife, Lisa, and Pam Guillory; and sister, JoAnn Butler and her husband, Gene of Port Arthur. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Thelma Tate Turner.

Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Port Neches on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. David Mahfouz officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Saturday from Noon till 2:00 p.m. at the church.
