Johnny Ray Holt, 68, of Nederland, died Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Beaumont. Johnny was born February 1, 1950 in Orange to the late Paul Odell Holt and Leila Jane Jones Holt. He was employed as a switchman with Total Petro Chemical for thirty-nine years, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5145.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Crystal Holt of Nederland; his daughter, Sherrie Holt Anderson of Abilene; his step-daughters, Amy Hernandez, and husband Fidencio, of Beeville, and Victoria Blake, and husband Rick, of San Antonio; his step-sons, David Dees, and wife Erika, of Huntsville, Michael Dees of Hillester, and Brian Dees of Nederland; and his sister Linda Brown of Ingram. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Larry P. Holt.
The family wishes to thank Harbor Hospice House of Beaumont, Adrienne Cooper, who’s unfailing good humor and kindness made a difference, and Cathy Gohlky for the special care she provided.
A Knights of Columbus rosary will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 5:30 pm with a visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H. in Nederland. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
