Phillip Paul Suire

Phillip Paul “PP” Suire, 83, of Port Acres, Texas passed away December 31, 2013 at his home from a fall. He was born in Kaplan, Louisiana on December 2, 1930 to the late Paul and Lucille Romero Suire. He was a member of St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church and served his country proudly in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and continued in the Marine Corps Reserves for over 20 years where he was a Competition Shooter/Expert Rifleman.
Phillip “PP” worked at Gulf/Chevron for 37 ½ years. He worked in operations, then as a pipefitter, and retired as a supervisor. He had a passion for his family, hunting, gardening, French music and Country music.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Acres on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Anthony Paluso celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with a rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m.
Phillip is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Esther Frith Suire; his parents; his youngest daughter, Viva “Sug” Suire; and 4 sisters, Bernice “TeDo” Vidrine, Irene Triola, Beatrice “Beatty” Vincent, and Mable “Sook” Breaux. He is survived by his son, Victor Suire and wife Jeri of Port Acres; daughters, Vicki Suire and fiancé Dennis Moore of Port Acres and Vivian LeJeune and husband Todd of McKinney; grandchildren, Laurie LeJeune Odle and husband Chad, Laci Reese and husband Michael II, Krystal Garner and husband Matthew, Cody Suire and wife Amber, Ryan LeJeune and fiancé Alyssa Gleason; great-grandchildren, Cambree and Audrey Suire, Shayla and Michael Reese III, Nathan and Noah Odle, and Madelyn Garner; brother, Warren Suire; and special nephew Benny Breaux.
