Theresa Simoneaux Lake, 82, of Nederland, TX, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at St. Dubuis in Beaumont, TX. Theresa was born on June 6, 1934 in Port Arthur, TX, to the late Oliver Simoneaux and Levia Mary Tomplait Simoneaux.
Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Ernest F. Lake of Nederland; daughters, Sharon Kasper and husband, Michael of Nacogdoches, TX, Cathy Hardin and husband, Cecil of Port Acres, Debbie Bertrand of Nederland, TX and Christina Bergeron and husband, Charles of Groves, TX; sons, Rick Bertrand and wife, Mary of Huntsville, AR and Jeffrey Lake and wife, Sara of Beaumont, TX; sister, Shirley Huddle of Lumberton, TX; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; 4 sisters and 1 granddaughter.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a rosary at 1:30 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home, located at 1605 Avenue H in Nederland, TX. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home, with Father Jaison Jacobs, Officiant. The interment will be at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland, TX.
