Virginia Ruth Barnett

Virginia Ruth Barnett, 80 of Vidor, Texas passed away on October 10, 2015 in Beaumont, Texas. She was born on July 25, 1935 in Houston, Texas to the late James Loly Brazzil and Ann Oleta Waters Brazzil.

Virginia is survived by her husband, James E. Barnett of Vidor, Texas; sons, James R. Barnett, Sr. and wife Nina of Alvin, Texas, Donald E. Barnett and wife Carolyn of Vidor, Texas, John K. Barnett and wife Theresa of Midlothian, Texas and Robert M. Barnett and wife Connie of Vidor, Texas; daughter, Patricia Attaway and husband Jay of Vidor, Texas; grandchildren, Aaron Barnett, Ryan Barnett, Lisa Jones, Cody Barnett, Brandon Barnett, Taylor Barnett, Gregory Barnett and James Neathery; three great-grandchildren; nephews, Clay and Jason Brazzil.
Virginia is preceded in death by her brother, James Clayton Brazzil and her grandson, James Ray Barnett, Jr.

Virginia’s family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. on Tuesday evening, October 13, 2015 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Virginia’s funeral service will be at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, also at Melancon’s Funeral Home.
