Anis E. Lee, 92, of Nederland, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Anis was born on September 28, 1925 in Pineland, TX to the late Charlie Lane and Ophelia Wright Lane. She was retired from Market Basket and Discount Foods. Anis loved to read, spend time with her family and friends, watching sports and talking on the telephone.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Patricia Thompson and husband, William “Joe” of Clute, TX, Carline McCord and husband, Alton of Port Neches; grandchildren, Theresa Kroesch and husband, David of Pearland, TX, Cheri McCleskey and husband, Donny of Kingwood, TX, Jason McCord of Port Neches, Wade Thompson and wife, Brooke of The Woodlands, TX, Jeremy McCord and fiancé, Angela Carter of Nederland; great-grandchildren, Kenyon Kroesch and fiancé, Danielle George, John David Kroesch and fiancé, Katelyn Nance, William Kroesch, Drew McCleskey and wife, Kelli, Colby McCleskey and wife, Emily, Brent McCleskey and fiancé, Rosa Ponce, Wesley Thompson, Ashley Thompson and Joey Thompson; great-great-grandchildren, Dexter McCleskey, Eric McCleskey and a host of loving family, nieces, nephews and countless friends. Anis is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 47 years, Joseph Carl Lee; brother, Elvin Lane; sister, Imogene Monk and granddaughter, Donna Lynn Thompson.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. The funeral service will be on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The interment will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
