Betty Doggette Marcel

Betty Doggette Marcel, 81, of The Woodlands, Texas formerly of Groves, Texas. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on January 13, 1939 to the late James Fred Doggette and Catherine Todd Doggette.
Those left to cherish Betty’s memory are her husband, Ray A. Marcel, Sr. of The Woodlands; her daughter, Sonya Long and her husband, Donald of The Woodlands; her sons, Gary McDonald and his fiancée, Tanya of Lafayette, Louisiana and Kenneth McDonald and his wife, Lecretia of Thibodeaux; 9 grandchildren, Brad Spratt and wife Amanda, Bryan Spratt, Miranda Long, Ashley Heigl and husband Jake, Courtney Mitchell and husband Beau, Jake Snyder and wife Adrienne, Jessica Smith, Brittany Bergeron and husband Shayne, and Jacob McDonald and wife Katie; 13 great-grandchildren; her sister, Sarah Fountain and her husband Glenn, and her brother, James Doggette and his wife Gail. Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Barbara Wells and Fredda Robbins; and her brother, Charles Doggette.
A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 12:00 noon under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.
