Charles "Chuck" Brown

Charles “Chuck” Brown, 74, of Nederland, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Chuck was born April 20, 1947, in Port Arthur to the late Albert Brown Sr. and Gloria Frederick Brown.
Chuck was a 1966 graduate of Nederland High School as well as a graduate of Lamar University. He retired from Gulf/Valero in Port Arthur as a Pipefitter with 40 years of service. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, Air Airborne Division. Chuck loved playing softball and football in his younger years and was a devoted softball dad. He also was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Chuck is survived by his daughters, Morgan Brown and Harlee Brown both of Nederland; the mother of his children, Rhonda Benoit of Nederland; his extended family, Darlene Bonsall-Babin and her husband, Tommy of Nederland, and Christy and Danny McGraw of Winnie also several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers Albert "Bert" Brown and Thomas "Tommy" Brown.
A celebration of Chuck’s life will be Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland.
The family wish that memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Chuck’s honor.
