Charles Edward Keith Sr.

Charles Edward Keith, Sr., 88, of Port Arthur formerly of Nederland passed away September 12, 2019. He was born in Gallatin, Tennessee on May 1, 1931 to the late Charlie F. Keith and Julia Mai Stephens Keith. Charles was a charter member of Faith Baptist Temple in Port Neches and was very active with IAM and Pipefitters Local 195.
Those left to cherish Charles’s memory are his son, Charles Edward Keith, Jr. of Port Arthur; his daughters, Pamela Dillard of Lufkin, Mada Stark and her husband Harry of Port Arthur, Marcia Turnipseed and her husband Tom of Nederland, Beverly Keith Brown of Gallatin, TN, and Sue Yvonne Turner of Gallatin, TN; 13 grandchildren, Marcie Keith, Trey Keith, Erin Dillard, Rachel Nichols and her husband Cody, Corey Humphries, Chris Pullin and his wife Niki, Amber Pullin, Amy Pullin and wife Alaina Peeler, Dr. Jeffrey Yonker and his wife Jessica, Ellyn Turnipseed, Peyton Byrd and his wife Rebecca, Tonya Vaden and her husband Danny, and Nicholas Turner and his wife Angela; and 9 great-grandchildren; his brother, Jerry Keith and his wife, Helen of Gallatin, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Genell Keith; and his wife, Anna Geneva Keith.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service being held at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
