David E. DeRoche

David E. DeRoche, 67, of Nederland, Texas passed away April 7, 2019. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on April 5, 1952 to John Alfred DeRoche, Jr. and Anne Waller DeRoche. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army and was a member of First Baptist Church in Nederland. He retired after 25 years as a Lab Technician from the Baptist Hospital in Orange and Beaumont.
Those left to cherish David’s memory are his wife, Deborah DeRoche of Nederland; his daughter, Sarah Sheffield and her husband, Scot of Denton; his sons, David DeRoche of Nederland and Michael DeRoche and his wife, Jessica of Corinth; his father, John Alfred DeRoche, Jr. and his wife, Helen of Bridge City; his sister, Debbie DeRoche Kurtz of Nederland; his brother, Steven DeRoche and his wife, Molly of Nederland; also his grandchildren, Matthew Ross Engelbrecht, Joshua David DeRoche, Sidney Rebecca Engelbrecht, Shelby Louise Engelbrecht, Lillian Elizabeth Sheffield, Elise Joy Sheffield, and Jonathan David Sheffield; his great-granddaughter, Alaina Grace DeRoche; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Anne Waller DeRoche, also his sister, Nanette Theresa Hayles; and his daughter, Sherylen Elizabeth DeRoche.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at Jack’s Cemetery in Pineland, Texas at 3:00 p.m.
