Donna Gonsoulin Prudhomme

April 23, 1957 — July 1, 1991

Donna Gonsoulin Prudhomme, 34 at the time of her death, was living in Clear Lake, Texas where she passed away in July 1991. She was born on April 23, 1957 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Albert J. Gonsoulin and Marie Guidry Gonsoulin. She attended St. Mary Catholic School and Thomas Jefferson High School. Donna had such a love for life and the beauty of nature. She spent countless hours on the banks of the Sabine Lake and Pleasure Island, where she loved to fish and crab. She loved to sing, especially the songs of Janis Joplin. But more than all these things, she adored her children and family.
Those left to cherish Donna’s memory are her son, Brad Prudhomme and his wife, Lasha; her grandson, Mathew Fontenot and his wife, Whitney; her great-granddaughter, Larkin Faith; and her sister, Dianne Gonsoulin Hastings; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 16 years, Darrell Prudhomme; her son, Chad Prudomme; and her brothers and sisters, Danny Gonsoulin, Janie Gonsoulin Boudreaux, Vickie Gonsoulin Romero, and James Gonsoulin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Kevin Badeaux celebrant. Services are under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be given in Donna’s memory to the “Healing Fields” in care of Magnolia Creek Baptist Church, 3535 Calder Rd., League City, TX 77573.
