    Larry Glen Cobb

    January 13, 1943 - March 6, 2022

    Larry Glen Cobb, 79, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at his residence in Nederland. Larry was born on January 13, 1943, in Alexandria, Louisiana to Betty Lou Beebe Cobb and Glen Rosy Cobb. Larry graduated from Beaumont High in 1961 and later enlisted in the U.S. Navy on July 25, 1962 in Houston, Texas. He was honorably discharged as a 2nd Class Petty Officer. He was a retired pipefitter with Local #195 in Nederland where he worked for forty-two years. Larry was a member of Kennewick #153 Masonic Lodge in Kennewick, Washington; the Scottish Rite and Calvary Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas. He loved watching sports on TV and going to the casino at Delta Downs and various other places. Larry’s real passion was Golf; he loved playing and watching it on TV. He loved his family and they loved him dearly; he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Larry is survived by his sons, Gary Cobb of Houston, Texas and Jeffrey Cobb and his wife Christi of Nederland; brothers, Wayne Cobb of Kennewick, Washington, Terry Cobb of Port Neches, Carroll Cobb of Las Vegas, Nevada, Robert H. Cobb of Houston and Jim B. Cobb of Hurst, Texas; sisters, Patricia C. Taylor of Cleburne, Texas and Linda Still of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and other family members. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Bettie Lou Cobb; step-sons, Roger D. Watson and Mike Watson; step-daughter, Marilyn Eldridge and his wife of forty-three years, Martha Hext Cobb who passed away on October 20, 2019. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. Private Cremation services will be held at a later date under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home.
