Marion Theresa Peck Lee

Marion Theresa Peck Lee, 91, of Groves, Texas passed away Friday, May 15, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Marion was born December 15, 1928 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Walter and Hilda Peck. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves for 50 plus years. Marion’s passion in life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family, the beach, sewing for all of her children and grandchildren and gardening. Marion will be remembered for someone who touch so many and loved by all she knew, who left behind a trail of tears and precious memories. We loved the sunshine in her smile and kindness in her heart. Marion was the matriarch of the family and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Walter William Peck and Hilda Harrington Peck; her loving husband of 54 years, Elmer H. Lee, Jr.; brother, Ernest Peck; sisters, Gussie Bourque, Velma Guillory and Jeanne Peck.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are her children, Harvey J. Loupe and his wife, Linda of Jasper, TX; Janell T. Reyenga and her husband, Dennis of Fredericksburg, TX; Julie Davis and her husband, Ron of Fannett, TX; Dan Lee and his wife, Cindy of Grain, Valley, MO; Jeanne James and her husband, Clay of Geneva, TX; Chris Lee and his wife, Kelly of Cleburne, TX; Darrin Lee and his wife, Brandy of Beaumont, TX; grandchildren, Todd Wayne Loupe (Melissa); Chad Joseph Loupe (Toya); Christy Lynn Vercher (Justin; Beau Courtney Reyenga (Christen); Bonnie Sue Harvey (Brian); Victoria Lea Paul; Mariyah Rose Davis; Savannah Jazmine Espinoza (Everardo); Amanda Hite (David); Corey Magnussen Lee (Kelsey); Heather Dayton; Holly Davis (Steven); Eysha Jade Packwood (Nolan); Calvin Albert Lee; Charlie Palermo (Angel); Mallorie Theresa Snyder (Travis); Madalyn Coreen Lee; Marlie Elaine Lee; Jessika James Eoff (Shane) and Meagan James; 36 great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Monday, May 18, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 12:30 p.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2020 at Melancon’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
