Ned Paul Taylor, Jr.

Ned Paul Taylor, Jr., 75, of Round Rock, Texas, went to be with his Lord on November 29, 2021 with his sister and their "appointed sister" by his side. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 12, 1946 and was the son of the late Ned Paul Taylor, Sr. and Nellie Simmons Taylor.
He is survived by his sister Olivia Taylor of Round Rock, Texas and numerous relatives in Louisiana as well as by a large number of very special friends in the Central Texas area.
He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School; Class of 1965 and he got his degree from Lamar University. He was a Systems Analyst at IBM for his entire working career. He could be seen as a quiet person until he got to know you. Then it was his true personality that came out and you were a friend for life. He was a very kind and compassionate person who would help you in an instant. He was the kind of brother everyone should have.
Graveside services will be held at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches, Texas at noon on Thursday, December 2, 2021 under the direction of Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at a later date for all his friends to "talk about him" in Round Rock, Texas. He was a big University of Texas Fan and would flash the Hook'em Horns sign whenever he could. So, Ned, Hook'em Horns!
