Rebecca "Becca" Darbonne

April 19, 1985 — January 24, 2017

Rebecca Rae Darbonne born April 19, 1985, returned to her maker on January 24, 2017 as a result of a severe epileptic seizure in her home.
Becca was a fun loving, beautiful woman who brightened every room she stepped into. She was often referred to as the “life of the party” and had a unique ability to bring smiles and laughter to everyone around her. It was her dry personality that everyone loved.
She was an avid football fan and was arguably the Denver Broncos most loyal fan. She even named her dog Peyton Manning, after the Broncos quarterback!
Becca’s love for her dog Peyton was deep, but Becca also had a love and respect for all animals and often did community service work for the protection of animals.
Becca was a skilled bookkeeper and worked in that capacity in both south east Texas, where she was born, and the Denver Colorado area, where she spent much of her youth. She will be greatly missed by her friends, family as well as anyone who knew her.
Becca is survived by her father, Ricky Darbonne and her step-mother Shana Darbonne; her Mother, Mona Brown and her step-father Brent Brown; her brother, Daniel Darbonne and fiancé Torey Bobbitt, Jacob Darbonne; sister, Joanna Darbonne; her grandmothers, Helena Duhon and Ethyl Darbonne, as well as dozens of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. Her two grandfathers, Bradley Meche and Charles Darbonne proceeded her in death along with her previous dog Beau.
A gathering of family and friends to remember and honor Rebecca’s life will be held on the evening of Monday, January 30, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Melancon’s Funeral Home located at 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX 77627. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on the morning of Tuesday, January 31, 2017, with a gathering beginning at 9:30 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. also at Melancon’s Funeral Home. Interment will take place at the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland immediately following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Rebecca’s honor to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705.
