Ross Melancon

Ross Melancon, 66, of Vidor, Texas passed away on October 22, 2021 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on February 26, 1955 to the late Wilbert Joseph Melancon and Joyce Lee Polley Melancon.

Ross was a hard worker and a dedicated family man. He was a character to say the least. He enjoyed cutting up with his friends and family, and loved making people laugh. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Ross’ main hobby in life was spending time with his family. One of his greatest joys was hearing the grandchildren call him Pawpaw. Ross will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him.

Those left behind to cherish Ross’ memory are his loving wife of 49 years, Melba Rains Melancon; daughters, Michelle Melancon, Barbara Hollier and her husband, Blaine; grandchildren, James, Thomas, Trevor, Jaden, Kelsey, Hannah, Mason, Samantha, Jonathan; great grandchildren, Raelynn, Carrie, John, Matthew, Paul, Clara Everleigh, Aric; brother, Jude Melancon; sisters, Sylvia Schubarth and her husband, Coy, Delores Daniels; and Numerous loving nieces and nephews. Ross is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Michael Melancon, Damian Melancon; and brother-in-law, Butch Daniels.
