"A New Era in Service - Melancon Levingston Funeral Home"

For over 70 years, Claybar Funeral Home has been caring for families in Southeast Texas with a deeply held commitment to excellence. We have been guided by our common goal: “To be the recognized leader in funeral service within the communities we serve; to be innovative; to anticipate and meet the needs of our client families with exemplary personal service; to create an atmosphere of caring and growth for our client families and our staff.”

Within the last 18 months, Melancon and Levingston Funeral homes have joined our Claybar family of services, along with Oak Bluff Cemetery and Memory Gardens of Jefferson County. In keeping with our core values and basic commitment, we have been exploring ways in which we could best honor their legacies of service.

I am so proud to announce the merger of Melancon and Levingston Funeral Homes, two names you have known and trusted for years. I truly believe this union will have the ability to offer families unparalleled convenience, value, and service.

This union brings together the most talented team of people from Melancon and Levingston Funeral Homes, who all share our philosophy on customer service: putting the needs of our client families first. The Funeral Directors and staff of both funeral homes who have taken care of your families for years will all continue to serve. Soon you will see new logos and advertisements, however, the faces you know will stay the same.

I look forward to continuing the community support and involvement these funeral homes are known for, specifically with our area churches, hospices, schools, and first responders.

I am truly humbled and excited to be part of this new era of funeral service in Mid and South Jefferson County, as well as having the opportunity to work with such a dedicated and professional staff. Together, we pledge to you our very best and to always be worthy of your trust.

More to come!
